DC Staycation at Your's Truly Hotel
Updated: May 7, 2021
Hey there beautiful people!
I recently decided to take a little departure from my day to day routine with a local staycation. I know COVID-19 is real and on the rise, so although I miss international and domestic travel I won't be traveling beyond my neck of the woods anytime soon. :(
I opted to book a staycation right in West End downtown DC. I must admit adjusting to all the new protocols that are in place to keep you safe when traveling definitely had me feeling like a fish out of water. Masks were definitely worn by everyone and there were adjustments made as indoor dinning had just been restricted in DC but that didn't put a damper on our stay.

Mercy Me the in-house restaurant at Your's Truly had great to-go options, and outdoor seating in a heated area on the back patio. There was also no access to our bedroom for daily turn over to ensure no one was accessing our room. This lead to some adjustments like calling down for towels and trash removal. While this was different than a pre-covid room stay but I must admit the desk and staff were very responsive.

I also loved how quiet the room was, which is major in a downtown location. The surrounding area was full of outdoor things to do like walking to the Georgetown or the nearby Tatte Bakery. We enjoyed breakfast at the Mercy Me cafe the final day of our stay and the coffee and breakfast tacos were so delicious.
My stay overall was full of much needed rest and relaxation and I'd definitely recommend visiting if you're in driving distance to DC. You can find more info on booking with Your's Truly here.
