Hey love bugs!
So as we roll into another amazing year (claiming it) I'm challenging myself to 31 days of wellness. Nope I'm not talking cliche resolutions (I don't do those) or crazy unrealistic goals like losing 30lbs in two days.... Instead I'm talking about wellness....spiritually,mentally,physically, and emotionally.
Wellness in all areas of my life not just the physical.....which unfortunately is normally the only area we focus on (thanks media). Health in both the external and internal. Okay okay, so how do I plan on achieving this lofty goal you ask? I'm taking it a day at a time. I'm doing daily small challenges to myself and sharing with you guys along the way.
I'm reclaiming my social media space and voice to use it for more positivity, encouragement, and happiness. I love selfies as much as the next girl but I don't want to be just that...
I found it interesting that social media has been linked to increased mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety. Many posts show only the highlight reel of our lives which has led many to compare themselves to a reality that isn’t truly real. Each of my posts will focus on doing things that promote wellness. I wanted to take advantage of the fact that this is a time of year when wellness is on many of our minds.
